Something to share...

I started playing music since my secondary school. Well, actually my main interest is piano since primary school but due to lack of exposure and financial situation, this interest was just a dream that will never come true until today.
During teenager time, i really like those rock band for example Bonjovi, Metallica, Deep Purple, Search, Wings, Cranberries, FooFighter, Scorpions, Nirvana, etc..etc..Well, those were the days. Me & my friends goes crazy with their songs and music which are really, really makes us WoW..!!! I still can remeber i played the drum during our jamming sessions until my finger bleed....There are just so much that we want to express through our jamming or battle of the band. But none is for Christ our Lord.

At that age and influence, it's hard for me to play drum on songs (spiritual & church) which is not heavy or suitable for me. I started listening to Petra (rock songs with a spiritual lyrics). From there then only i started to open up. I was in the Star Of Yahweh Covenant Community in the 90's. They have their own band but i didn't get any opportunity to expose from there. This is way before i got interest into outside rock music.

There are many ways we can contribute, serve, pray, express to our Lord. I found that music & songs is the best way for me to praise, give thanks, pray and express our emotion to Him. I feel that let our youth play or expose (in the band) in our spiritual context rather than, playing outside which they can get involved or influnce by unhealthy situation. This view need to be supported in order to generate more talented youth for our church needs. Expressing spiritual songs and music is a very wonderful and powerfull thing of which a bit hard to explain in words.
Probably by watching a band play (spiritual songs) its just like watching them having a good time playing music but deep inside the musicians and singers - they are Praising-
Remember: Youths is our future church leaders...
God Bless

Telupid St. Martin Trip.

Jam 8.30am, Misa Kudus pun bermula.
10.40am: After the mass,we gathered at the hall. More than 30 youths from Telupid participated. First of all, Christopher Aban, lead the praise song and an opening prayer.

Other topics that we shared are :
- Cabaran dalam Pelayanan koir (untuk menghidupkan Liturgi).
- Masalah-masalah semasa pembabitan dalam koir.
- Sejarah Tim Pelayanan Musik Belia St.Mary's Sandakan.

11.30am:Sesi nyanyian puji-pujian pendek.
11.55am:Sharing session. Mostly shared about their journey in choir for years and the experience faced during those days and present days. There are some whom have been servicing for 10 years till now.

1.oopm: Sharing by Mr.Albert (St.Martin Telupid PPC chairman).
1.10pm: Words by Fr.Marcellinus Pongking.

God Bless. & Thank you all.

Faith = Success Y2j Street Soccer

06 December 2009 was a day when not only spiritual songs and music can gather and attract new faces of youth from our parish to participate in our activities. We played Street Soccer. Which was held at former basketball court at Fr.Mulders Centre. Started at about 11.am with the kick off made by our Bishop Julius...and it was a score..Goal...goal..goal..!!!.

We manage to meet up with new faces of youth whom met before from outside church not being realise that they are Catholic. We are glad and thank God that this competition attracted about 10 teams. All players and those involved really had a great time playing Street Soccer in His Name, One Heart, One Youth...Once again, To Gather, Together, To Capture and it will Spread....God Bless.

Spiritual Preparation guided by Sister Lilian, 2 days before the games begin. A very good preparation for the organizing team to have strong Faith and believe that the day event will be a success. Thank You Sister.

Thank You. God Bless.

went to St.Paul Church Ulu Dusun

Went to St.Paul Church Ulu Dusun on 24th May 2009. YMM team gathered at coffee shop at 8.30am and started the engine to St.Paul at 9.30am. It tooks about 40minutes to arrive there. St.Paul located at a hill top and over looking a wide area land of planted palm oil tree.

Soon as we arrived, immediately we put up our poster at the church notice board. Our friend Petrus from the church choir say "hello" to us as he is busy preparing the P.A system and needed his choir member to be ready before the mass started at 11am.

Agenda : (1) Lagu Pujian, (2) Sesi Suai kenal, (3) Briefing for Camp & Concert, (4) Sesi Sharing, (5) Slideshow Y2J Concert 2008, (6) Sesi Soal Jawab, (7) Makan Lunch.

We departed from St.Paul around 250pm. Thank you to Saudara Petrus & rakan2nya kerana memberi kami kesempatan merapatkan jurang persahabatan. May God Bless you all.
